AUDITION CALL: klpac Symphonic Band
Hellow there! Are you passionate in music? Love to play instrument? Wanna try out how's it like in a symphonic band? Can't find a place with lots of music lover after you graduated from high school? Now THIS IS YOUR CALL! KLpac Symphonic Band's going to have a audition and this is your big fat chance, grab it will you! xD
Date : March 19 (Saturday)
Time : 9am -1pm, 2pm - 5pm
Venue : Indicine, 2nd floor, KLpac
For your information, there are certain criteria you must fulfill before joining our family.
Winds section (Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet, Alto Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Bass Trombone, Euphonium and Tuba.)
-You must have own musical instruments.
- Please be prepared to play a major scale within 4# to 4b in an octave
- Please be prepared to play with difference articulation e.g. legato, staccato, accent etc
- A sight-reading piece from Band excerpts will be given to you on the audition day and you will have 1 minute to study the score (without playing)
- Ability to play 2 octaves will be an advantage.
- A solo piece from the candidate is an advantage but is not mandatory
Percussion
- Please be prepared to show single stroke, double stroke and rolling techniques using drumsticks and timpani mallet. A Rhythm pattern with these elements will be given to the candidates.
- For Mallet percussion, you must be able to play a major scale within 4# to 4b in an octave.
- A sight-reading piece from Band excerpts will be given to you on the audition and you will have 3 minutes to study the score (without playing)
- You must have minimum knowledge in handling non-pitching percussion instruments, e.g. crash cymbals, bass drum, triangle etc.
- A solo piece from the candidate is an advantage but NOT mandatory.

Horrible stuffs had been happening to the world these days. And there's no way it'll decrease. Anyway, #prayforjapan now, and also the world. Hopefully there won't be any second wave of earthquake, and no other countries will be affected.
Seriously we all need to learn from Japanese. Daymn discipline one even thought they should be panic. *salute.
