KOSÉ Workshop – Sekkisei Lotion Mask Giveaway!

It had been a very long while since me, Jacqueline and Joey went out together. Ahhh busy with our clinical placements that’s why. So when the 6 weeks placement finally comes to an end and we heard that there’s a KOSÉ workshop, we happily joined and
took it as a girls’ day out for us.

KOSÉ is one of my favorite skin care brand that I use in my daily routine. It was established in Japan in 1946 and it’s still going on strong! This really tells you about their quality, proven by time and all!
KOSÉ’s bestselling skincare and cosmetic brands include SEKKISEI, SEKKISEI SUPREME, SEIKISHO, ESPRIQUE, BEAUTÉ de KOSÉ, INFINITY, ASTALUTION, MOISTURE SKIN REPAIR, JUNKISUI and more. Personally tried JUNKISUI and currently still using SEKKISEI and I have to say so far so good! So glad that I have the chance to try out their full range daily basic care products and the correct way to apply them (Sad to say that I only have their facial cleanser, lotion and emulsion D=). Of course, lets not forget our star of the day, and also SEKKISEI’s best seller - SEKKISEI lotion mask!

From left: Make up remover, cleansing milk, lotion, emulsion, white BB cream (2 different tones) and lastly loose powder, all by KOSÉ.

All excited to start!

My skin definitely is not what they describe as healthy and beautiful skin. My skin tone is dull, yellowish and my pores are quite obvious…

And here you can see why xD

Our beauty guru of the day – Jo and model of the day – Jacqueline! Me and Joey actually met Jo in Mahsa University during Kose’s roadshow event before. The makeover class way lead by Jo and no wonder she looked so familiar! What a coincidence aye?

We’ll start with removing all our makeup except for eyes and lips using their cleansing milk. This is going to be a very honest post because I didn’t edit any part of my face, not even trying to hide my legendary double eyebags! xD

Scoop a cherry size amount onto your palm, separate into half and dab onto your chin, cheeks, nose and forehead. Start working your way up in circular motion, from your chin up to your forehead! It’s really cooling and refreshing using this cleansing milk. More importantly is that even though it can remove your make up, it’s still very gentle on the skin!

After that, we wipe the cleansing milk off out face with wet cotton pads in strokes, starting from your chin upwards to your temples, then side of mouth to temples, then side of nose, cheek, and forehead. You can also just rinse it off with warm water =)

Hold your wet cotton pad like this and start stroking away!

So clean =O And I swear my pore problems are usually much MUCH worst than this!

Next step, SEKKEISEI’s lotion mask!

Our star of the day here is not just average toner. It is a lotion made from various oriental plant extracts and don’t we all love the benefits of these plants?

1)    Coix Seed Extract
Increase metabolism, whitening, moisturization and prevent skin roughness.

2)    Angelica Extract

Disinfect, whitening and moisturizing.

3)    Melothria (White Lotus) extract
Suppress melanin production and helps with skin whitening.

This lotion can penetrate through our skin very easily, creating a translucent, fair and even tone for our skin. Besides, it smoothens our skin while giving a firming and relaxation effect for our skin. We can easily achieve a ‘0’ pores look with it. Not to mention it gives 10X hydration effect compared to average toners! Snowy white skin? NO PROBLEM!

A easy few steps to apply this lotion mask.
1.       Pour the SEKKEISEI lotion into the cap until it reaches the line. (You can’t see it from here but I swear there’s a very fine line in the cap Lol Lol)
2.       Put in the cotton mask (yesh the very magical tablet you see there) and wait for it to absorb the goody goodness.

3.    Wait for a few seconds until the mask puffs up! Magical isn’t it?

4.    Unroll.

5.    Apply on face for 5-10 minutes! Remember not to leave it on for too long cause it’s really easy to be absorbed into our skin and leaving it for too long might actually cause our skin to lose the moisture it just gained from the mask! D=

While waiting for the mask to absorb…

6. Take off mask, lightly pat/press on skin to help with the absorption and VIOLA! Soft, moist skin that look like peeled hard-boiled egg!

The pores obviously become less visible while my skin magically become very moist and fair =O Whereas the area around my eyes that are untouched by our magical lotion mask remains dark and puffy D=

I always have this double eye bag problem and even though I don’t really have bad dark circle problems, my eyes area always look dull. Good news is the mask can be applied at the eyes area as eye mask! Since I had my mascara on, I didn’t get to do the eye mask on the spot. But I’m definitely going to try it!

After the lotion mask, we’ll apply the emulsion that further locks in the moisture we gained from the lotion mask! It’s also very gentle and refreshing. Doesn’t leaves the sticky feeling on the face you get what I mean? Just apply it in strokes from down upwards, like how we remove the cleansing milk on the face.

Lastly, the BB cream! This is a new product in the SEKKEISEI series and it has many benefits in such a small tube! We can use it as a cosmetic product while it protects our skin from the sunlight! Talking about hitting many birds with one stone huh.

2 tones available: 01 for fair and 02 for slightly tanned skin. I’m using 01 for myself.

Holy moley… Look at the vast differences! Lets not go into the severity of my eye bag problems since they’re inherited (Blame the gene of course!) but just look at the tone difference and the radiance from my right side =O

Finish up the look with some loose powder and blusher!
Light makeup look that’s perfect for a date night!

Pretty guru Jo =)

    1. Haha now you know! Actually lotion/toner as mask can really replenish lost moisture and minimize pore one. Use to do that before photoshoots =P
