My Osaka-Kyoto 5 days Itinerary #2: Tips for Transportation, Food & Places to Visit

Visit Part 1 for the sample itinerary, more tips and recommendation for Osaka Kyoto trip.

Here's the continuation of my trip in Osaka and Kyoto! Both these places actually rarely snow even in the middle of winter, so on the 3rd day, I decided to bring my family out of the city to search for snow scenery!

My Osaka-Kyoto 5 days Itinerary #1: Tips for Transportation, Food & Places to Visit

Sample Itinerary to inspire you all for your own trip!

Hello! Some of you might know that I just recently went for a trip to Osaka and Kyoto with my family during the Chinese new year holidays. We traveled in a group of 9 including my aunt and cousins this time round, and this is actually the 1st time any of my family members travel to Japan.

The trip was really fun, but planning it was really not easy! Although I've been to Hokkaido once, it is really an entirely different experience to plan the travel on your own.

Hokkaido in April #1 - Things to do in Spring

When people talk about Hokkaido, 1st thing that will come to mind is the world renown powder snow and their long winter. I however, happened to visit Hokkaido in its low season. Spring (April to June) attracts far less foreign tourists compared to Kyoto and Tokyo around the same time.

Amphawa Floating Market Day Trip #3

Lets continue our journey to Amphawa Floating Market! In our last post, we boarded the local Songtel (mini truck with 2 row of seats) and we are heading straight to the market!

The journey was short and pleasant, and finally we arrived at our destination. 1st thing that comes to my mind when I arrive is 'wow, this place feels like home!'. The area of the market resembles the kampung (villages) back home, and the stalls by the water reminded me of the market by the river in Brunei where I grew up in.

Maeklong Railway Market - Amphawa Floating Market Day Trip #2

Hello guys! Sorry for procrasinating for so long! I'm currently in Sydney for a short escape from reality so blogging doesn't seem all that appealing over here xD

Anyway, continuing our trip in Bangkok. After taking the mini van from Mahachai Seafood Market area, we finally reach the famous railway market! Pretty sure most of you have heard of it before right? If not, I'll also attach a nice video at the end of the post.

Mahachai Seafood Market - Amphawa Floating Market Day Trip #1

Back to my Bangkok posts!

Before going to Bangkok, we did some research on place of interests and also accommodation and finally after long planning, we decided to stay in Lub D hostel (both of them!). You can read it here! Other than the good facilities and tourist friendly environment, they even have a travel agency counter at the hostel. This agency, Visit Beyond is perfect for backpackers as they are not the conventional companies that make you buy expensive tours and have to join many people in a trip. They do cater for smaller group, or even for just 2 person! The trips are usually lead by local Thai tour guide, and it'll be a lot of walking and using public transport for you to experience life of the locals.

Everything is BIGGER in Australia - Sydney Fish market

Yeah yeah I know I've been MIA for ages again despite promising to update more frequently. But you can't really blame a stressed up girl with busy schedule right? *excuses*

Was viewing through my Sydney trip photos (reminiscing the past.. starting to feel the age kicking in actually haha) and noticed something peculiar. Why, most of my pictures are not of the beautiful sceneries, or my boy, or the gorgeous me (you're allowed to vomit, I just pretend I don't see that), but rather just everyday stuff like cans and food. Australians probably will scoff at what I did (HAH) but I'm a tourist kay? An Asian one, means I'll take picture of literally EVERYTHING that caught my attention, especially food. Experts may suggest I'm mental, but who cares? I see you don't xD

Anyway, big stuff in Aussie. Yeah. Starting with something everyone loves.
