Amphawa Floating Market Day Trip #3

Lets continue our journey to Amphawa Floating Market! In our last post, we boarded the local Songtel (mini truck with 2 row of seats) and we are heading straight to the market!

The journey was short and pleasant, and finally we arrived at our destination. 1st thing that comes to my mind when I arrive is 'wow, this place feels like home!'. The area of the market resembles the kampung (villages) back home, and the stalls by the water reminded me of the market by the river in Brunei where I grew up in.

Maeklong Railway Market - Amphawa Floating Market Day Trip #2

Hello guys! Sorry for procrasinating for so long! I'm currently in Sydney for a short escape from reality so blogging doesn't seem all that appealing over here xD

Anyway, continuing our trip in Bangkok. After taking the mini van from Mahachai Seafood Market area, we finally reach the famous railway market! Pretty sure most of you have heard of it before right? If not, I'll also attach a nice video at the end of the post.

Mahachai Seafood Market - Amphawa Floating Market Day Trip #1

Back to my Bangkok posts!

Before going to Bangkok, we did some research on place of interests and also accommodation and finally after long planning, we decided to stay in Lub D hostel (both of them!). You can read it here! Other than the good facilities and tourist friendly environment, they even have a travel agency counter at the hostel. This agency, Visit Beyond is perfect for backpackers as they are not the conventional companies that make you buy expensive tours and have to join many people in a trip. They do cater for smaller group, or even for just 2 person! The trips are usually lead by local Thai tour guide, and it'll be a lot of walking and using public transport for you to experience life of the locals.

Fifa 2014 World Cup Fever: Astro On-The-Go & Stadium Astro

Goooooal!

Once again it's the FIFA World Cup season! Although I'm not a big fan of football, I can really feel the football fever heating up around me and I can't help but join in the fun watching some of the games too! BUT since the football live matches will be in the middle of the night due to the time differences, many of us are unable to watch it and will find it difficult to find a way to rewatch the match. But fret not, Astro is here to save the day!

I'm very lucky to be invited by Nuffnang to the Astro On-The-Go & Stadium Astro's World Cup Blogger Event. The event was held at Hong Dae Mun @ One City Mall, a Korean style restaurant and club. I will be introducing the applications that we get to try out at the event here!

Sensenique Natural Handmade Soap Review

Taking a break from the vacation post, here I'm going to review about some locally made handmade soaps!

Speaking of soap, most people turn towards liquid soap just because bar soaps are considered bulky and probably, old fashioned? Compared to most liquid soaps that give you luxurious lather that's it. However, as people are getting more aware of how harmful most of the chemical laden

Herbal Essence Neo Gal Party

After days of last minute studies and cramming information into my teeny-weeny brain, finally there's a bit of time for me to breath a lil easily! Oh not exactly that easily if you consider the fact that I had a fever from no where and had to go out and get caught in rain.... and more exam stress are

Ah sorry let me just put my rantings and whines aside xD Let's talk about something happier!

Me, Joey and Jacqueline are very lucky to be invited by Cheesie to this Herbal Essence Neo Gal party! You must be asking what is Neo Gal. Well it's quite complex to be explained actually. Neo Gal is a new fashion trend in Japan that focus on a more street friendly style with a western trend influence + a Harajuku touch. Compared to gyaru style, they don't emphasis on heavy eyelashes and nude lips but more towards a lighter eye make and coloured lips. Neo Gal fashion brands include Figs & Viper, Murua and Emoda! When I'm free I'll be dedicating a post on Neo Gal. Love this trend so much more since it's super street friendly and it shows your attitude as well!

House88Kend 9th Anniversary Party

So right after our House of Humerus pop up store work at Mahsa Carnival last Saturday, we went to Kendrick's BBQ party as well! Very tired after a whole day's work and somemore it was raining cats and dogs but somehow we still appear at his place magically hahaha

What's the occasion you asked? It's his studio's 9th anniversary! Yay! This dude has started his doodling journey long long time ago, when I was still dreaming about being a musician and join a lot of band activities but refusing to face the reality that I have got no talent and I'm a lazy bum. Oops why did I let that slip? =P

Doodle of me on Nuffnang's birthday bash when we 1st officially met lol.

So it started off with House of Humerus's very 1st pop-up Store in Mahsa University!

The Rising of Kirin Ichiban - Zebra Square

Jacqueline got invited by LAB and GAB to introductory event of Kirin Ichiban. I got lucky since she tagged me along to witness the rising of Kirin Ichiban.

Just a short intro of Kirin Ichiban here. Kirin Ichiban is named as 'Beer at its Purest' as it is made from 100% malt, hops and water by Kirin Brewery, a Japanese brewer with over 100 years of history. It is also produced by the 'First Press' method, using the first pressed malt liquid to produce a crisper, richer and purer taste!

#NuffnangIs007 - Nuffnang Birthday Bash!

Yay Nuffnang is 7 years old nao! Me and Jacqueline are lucky enough to get the license to party, and we brought Joey and Sit Muih along with us too! This year's birthday bash is held at BBQ Garden, roof top of KL Life Center. Have to be grateful that the haze's gone for now. Don't think it'll be nice eating barbeque in a hazy environment like it's not already bad

BBQ Chicken @ The Curve and Kaffe Cafe @ TTDI

One of the most difficult time in life (lol) is when you're already super hungry, but you and your makan partner still cannot decide on where to eat! Isn't that right?

So today once again we came to this situation where we have literally no idea where or what to eat. So we just went to The Curve, parked the car and started to walk around the mall.

We came across this BBQ Chicken outlet that have quite a crowd eating in and weird enough after so many trips to The Curve, I never notice this place! So why not?

Everything is BIGGER in Australia - Sydney Fish market

Yeah yeah I know I've been MIA for ages again despite promising to update more frequently. But you can't really blame a stressed up girl with busy schedule right? *excuses*

Was viewing through my Sydney trip photos (reminiscing the past.. starting to feel the age kicking in actually haha) and noticed something peculiar. Why, most of my pictures are not of the beautiful sceneries, or my boy, or the gorgeous me (you're allowed to vomit, I just pretend I don't see that), but rather just everyday stuff like cans and food. Australians probably will scoff at what I did (HAH) but I'm a tourist kay? An Asian one, means I'll take picture of literally EVERYTHING that caught my attention, especially food. Experts may suggest I'm mental, but who cares? I see you don't xD

Anyway, big stuff in Aussie. Yeah. Starting with something everyone loves.
